Our researchers at the Bioeconomy Science Institute Maiangi Taiao are inviting healthy women to take part in a research study exploring how the gut microbiome processes food at different stages of life, particularly before and after menopause.
This study focuses on two groups — women aged 30–40 (pre-menopause) and 55–65 (post-menopause) — to better understand how gut bacteria ferment food and how this may influence health and wellbeing.
As part of this study, our research team are asking volunteers to donate a single stool (faeces) sample for laboratory research. The process is simple, using a hygienic collection kit. Full instructions are provided.
By taking part, you’ll be contributing to research that could support the development of foods designed to promote health during and after menopause.
