We develop production systems to mitigate the effects of and adapt to the environmental volatility caused by changing climates.

We develop tools to predict future climate scenarios and design production systems to meet likely environmental pressures. We breed new varieties of plants and animals with improved traits required to thrive in new environments and climates, with resilience to drought, floods and warming temperatures.

We develop tools, technologies and products that reduce harmful emissions that can be incorporated into land and sea-based production systems to improve environmental sustainability. We are also exploring ways to capture greenhouse gases and convert them into valuable products.
