We develop tools and technologies to safeguard animal and plant health, protecting productive and native ecosystems from biological threats.

We develop tools and technologies for detection, diagnosis, assessment and monitoring of insect pests, animal and plant diseases, weeds and predators in the field, and before and at the border, that support rapid response to biosecurity threats. We also develop cost-effective control methods for invasive and damaging pests and pathogens, with a focus on natural biological controls and targeted chemical usage when necessary.
